Why am I here?

Before you were formed in the womb, you were created in spirit with a mission and a purpose. The mission differs for each of us which defines how we go about our purpose.  Our purpose, however, is the same for every one of us: to love. Love is being a self-gift for the good of others.

We may not always feel like loving or feel loved. Our world has a way of creating distractions and communicating untruths about love. Though we may have various clouds overshadow our lives and understandings, we must know that the true source of love, God, is always there for us. On a cloudy, rainy day, we know the sun is shining even though we can’t see it.  In an even greater way, God is always present in our lives. When we open our hearts to believe and receive God’s love, we are in a better disposition to carry on with our purpose, to love God and others.

How we communicate that love to others is where our mission often differs. The Power of Attraction teaches that when we send negative energy, we then receive negative energy back. When we communicate positive energy, we receive positive energy back. We need to make the decision to always be a source of positive energy, which is love. For some, it is simply always having that smiling, huggable attitude towards others. For others, it may be giving of themselves at Food Banks or shelters, or by missionary work. Whatever our mission, being open to listening to God is where we find the answers.

Why am I here?  First and foremost, to love. When carrying on that purpose, we then find real joy. Everyone of us has this purpose. So, live to love!

Positivity is so infectious. I think of the times a young person holds the door open for others and I think to myself "that young person has been brought up right" It makes me smile and do better at being a role model for others.
